Beginning this Week: Co-creating Spiritual Community – a three-week series, with special events following the services (see below), leading up to Rev. Steve’s sabbatical.
Special Congregational Forum, Sunday, May 18th – after our Sunday service we will create a Spirit-led dialogue about a number of important items and opportunities for the church, including our top three goals for the year, Rev. Steve’s upcoming sabbatical, and our financial/fundraising plans. All are invited. A light lunch will be served.
Sunday, May 25th – a special service and party afterward to wish Rev. Steve well on his sabbatical and to welcome our interim leadership team.
A Great Big “Thank You!” – to all who contributed to our April “Earth Month” events: the film series, green yard sale, recycling workshop, and special Sunday service last week. Wasn’t it great?! And special thanks to Martha Powers, leader of our EarthCare ministry team, and Ellen Carty Cordry, leader of our Stewardship ministry team, who planned and organized these events.
Sharing Circle to Continue? – As we know, there is a time for every purpose under heaven. Our Monday sharing circle served a wonderful purpose – opening our hearts to each other – after Rev. Steve’s return from surgery. Perhaps that purpose has been fulfilled. If you’d like the circle to continue, please contact Rev. Steve.

Red Sox-Yankees drawing – Baseball season is here and Unity is holding a drawing for four seats to a Sox-Yankees game on Sunday, July 27th. In addition to purchasing tickets, please consider offering this opportunity to support Unity to your family and friends. Thanks for supporting our biggest fun(d) raiser of the year!
Calling All Cooks – We are starting a Unity Church of the Light Cookbook, and we need some help! There are forms on the table in the foyer to take home. One recipe per form, please. Fill out the form with your favorite recipe and submit to Jan Albert. All categories are welcome. Together, we can create a cookbook to cherish.

April Tithes
Unity Church of the Light practices tithing. Each month 10% of our income is lovingly sent to the channels of God’s blessings in our lives and those who further God’s work in our world. April’s tithe of $2,300 will be shared with the Salvation Army, Champ Homes, Silent Unity, the Association of Unity Churches International, the Cape Cod Council of Churches, the American Red Cross (for the recent firebombing victims), the Cape Cod Needy Fund, and the new African-American Museum. Thank you, God, for our abundant blessings!
