This beautiful Korean film tells the story of a boy raised by a wise, old Buddhist monk in a tiny floating monastery in the middle of a lake. As years pass, the cycle of seasons symbolize the cycle of life as we see the boy grow to maturity and experience awakening, both sexual and spiritual. With very little dialog, the story is told through lovely natural images. |
